Moto C Plus boot mode

2018-06-20, 18:36 PM

I am not able to start my phone in boot mode or recovery mode or fastboot mode. None of the combinations work.

Vol+ and power

Vol- and power

Vol+ and vol- and power

All three combination leads to same normal startup just as the power button does alone.

Please help me reboot in boot mode or fastboot mode.

If there is no fastboot mode then how am I supposed to root my phone? I need to root my phone so that I can edit the host file in order to be able to connect to my organization's remote VM through RDP connection.

Is there any way to add lines to my phone's host file without root?

Can you please follow the mentioned steps below and let us know if this helps.

1. With the phone powered off
2. Press and hold Volume Down and Power.
3. Release Volume Down and Power when you see small white text on the screen.
5. Use Volume Down until the arrows are pointing at Recovery then press the Volume Up Button.
6. You might see a Blue Motorola Screen for a moment.
7. At the No Command Screen (Green Android robot laying on it's back)
8. Press and hold the power button and tap the Volume Up button
9. The phone will then boot into Recovery

Thanks

Sandip

1. Switched off the phone.

2. Held volume down and power button pressed together.

3. A tiny vibration and the moto logo followed by the moto animation and hence the normal start.

Is there some trick that is to be done when the moto logo comes?

Same thing happens with the volume up button. I think there is something that is to be when when the Moto logo appears. Or maybe something is hidden.

Hello mahbus,

Sorry to hear about that, could you please try once same steps remove the battery and reinsert after that switch of the device .

-Press and hold the Volume up button and Power button (located on the right edge of the device) for approximately 3-4 seconds then release.after that you will get the fast boot option .

Thanks,

Jigyasa

The steps which we have provided it is working. We are able to go on the boot menu. Not sure why it is not working for you i think the next option would be repair.

Thanks

Sandip
