Moto E-5 Play Camera App - Error

Issue has cropped up very recently on Moto E-5 Play (Canada). Purchased new from retail vendor in September 2019.

 

Integrated 'camera' app now non-functional.

 

Camera Error message.

 

Occasionally will work for one image, if memory data and cache are wiped.

 

Only once then fails once again with same error message.

Hi nhjallan,

 

Welcome to Motorola Forums. Sorry to know you are facing Camera issues. I will try my best to help you with this. Could you please share the error screenshot? Since when you are facing this? So I can check and guide you accordingly.

 

Also, can you please test your phone in Safe Mode? Safe Mode starts the device without any third-party applications being started. This will allow you to open apps individually to try and determine which app may be causing the issue.

 

To go into Safe Mode, press the physical power key, then press and hold the pop-up "Power off" key until the Safe Mode instructions pop up, reboot the device to get back to normal mode. Let us know what you'll find out.

Welcome to Motorola Forums. Sorry to hear you're having issues with your phone. I will do my best to help you with this. I would suggest you try clearing the Camera application cache/data(go to Setting>> Apps and Notifications>>App info >>Camera app>>Force stop>> Click ok>> storage >>Clear cache/data). Restart the phone and check. Let me know how it goes.
