The microphone is not working for regular calls and WhatsApp calls-
Although for the google voice recognition it is functioning.
What might be the problem?

Thanks for posting. Have you tried if the microphone will work during video recording? You can try resetting your app preferences. This will reset the previous setup you made in the apps, to do it just apply these steps on your phone. Go to Settings > Select Apps > Swipe your finger to the left > Select all app > Select options (3 dots icon) > Select Reset Apps Preferences. After that, please restart the device.

Thanks for posting. Does it only happen with a specific contact, VOLTE call, and/or regular phone calls? Does it happen too when using an earphone? I would first suggest testing this in safe mode so there are no some third-party apps involved.
To Enable Safe Mode
1. Press and hold the Power button until Power off comes up on the screen.
2. Touch and HOLD Power off on the screen until reboot to safe mode appears.

After Re installing the app it will worked Normally

i replaced the battery in my XT1921-7, and the mic stopped working, i have booted into safe mode, reset app preferences, and reinstalled the old battery to see if i could correct the issue, and have had no luck. any thing else not listed in this thread that might help?

Can you perform a hardware test on the microphone on your device by going to Apps > Moto Help/Device Help > Device Diagnosis > Hardware Test Microphone. If it fails the hardware test, perform a factory data reset on your phone. If the microphone still does not work you may need to send it for a replacement/repair.
