Will the moto g4 get Android 7.0? I know it's kinda early but I was wondering if there was any news about this.

No not yet. This is a user to user forum, so you won't find official news here.  Watch the Motorola site and support site is probably best.

You mention "during the release." Could you post a link to the article or news release where you saw this information? It seems likely to me that the G4 would get Nougat, but I'm not so sure about something beyond that.

That certainly seems like an indication that the G will get the next two updates, but I would rather see that information posted on a Moto website. Product descriptions on Amazon might not always be accurate. So... we'll see what happens.

That's interesting wording, saying "Moto Pure phones like the Moto G4 Plus" will get upgraded. I am interested in buying a Moto G4 Play (because a 5.5" screen is too big for me), but I haven't seen any commitment that it will be updated to Android N. I think I'll wait to decide until it's clearer whether or not this phone will receive updates.

Hello moderators,

Is there any news update from Lenovo regarding the Android N update? I mean when Moto G4 plus is going to recieve this update. Motorola is the fastest among the OEMs to give OS updates. So I believe this time also we will be receiving it, before any other company.

The answer is the same as posted in the second post above:

The first phones to receive Android Nougat are the Nexus line of devices. After that, the Moto devices MIGHT be high on the list, but as has been pointed out many times in these forums, no one here has any information about release dates. We'll get the update when get the update, and that's all there is to it.
