Battery calibration problem

Whenever i put my phone on charge,it never shows the exact charge percentage. Sometimes it automatically shows 0% and shuts down. I tried all the method to resolve the problem but it still persists.

Bad USB cable? I get that all the time, powers the phone, but doesn't charge. Try discharging the battery completely until your phone shuts off, then using the outlet charger and without powering on, allow to charge fully.

I have done this also. It charges 100% once and again starts showing some random charge percentage the very next time of charging.

My USB cable is absolutely fine as i have bought my phone 2 months back.

Hi vkchy1992,

 

Are you using the stock charger that came with the phone? Did you follow the steps for Battery Calibration?

Yes sir, I am using the same charger which came with the box. I have done that calibration process too. Is there any other solution ?

Hi vkchy1992,

 

Have you checked if the device behaves the same way after performing those steps? You can check if the same issue happens after a clear cache partition and in safe mode. Let me know.

I had cleared cache and still the problem didn't go. After that I reset my phone from boot menu in recovery mode. But after that also my phone is not getting charged beyond 65%. All the methods I tried doesn't seems to fetch me the required result. Please help

Now my phone has started troubling a lot. After resetting it twice my phone is not charging at all and whatever percentage of battery it shows, it won't last long for more than 5-10 min. In the beginning the problem was only with the battery percentage display as it was showing different percentage but my it was lasting for 10-12 hours of usage. From yesterday it 3-4% and doesn't last for even 10 minutes. 

I am totally pissed  off with this moto(G4 plus) phone.

Would you please update your profile with the serial/IMEI/MEID number of your phone? Is it okay if we look into your apps? This will help us investigate. Make sure that your Motorola Privacy is enabled.
