Moto G4 Plus WIFI battery drain

2016-06-12, 14:29 PM

I am using Moto G4 Plus 32 GB Model, in the first run I have seen WiFi is using more battery than Screen. And lot more power it is unacceptable. I have used Moto G1, I have not seen this on G1. So please look into this matter and do the needful . Thanks.

Well, according to your screenshot, you are getting 36 hours of battery life, and that seems fine to me. There is nothing magical about the percentages of battery used. Something has to be at the top and if you are not using the phone for much and not keeping the screen on, WiFi is a likely candidate to be the top item. You battery life is good.

I am not having this draining when Wi-Fi off. Make sure your Wi-Fi scanning is set to off inside the location settings.

Go to settings, click on search button right side, search for scanning and off the wifi and Bluetooth scanning used for location.

You will not see wifi any more on top ?

When WiFi is off why it is using power?

I am not using WiFi but still my phone is using battery. See the screenshots.

WiFi is active for 5 hours but its already disabled.

My phone was heating just because of this.

See in the battery graph. Battery is draining very fast.

And WiFi is still active. What to do??
