Hi! It's been awhile since I have been on this board. I have a question regarding the Nougat patch updates for Moto G4 only.
Recently I decided to do all the Nougat updates. I was tired of seeing the push notifications. So, after backing up my data I did manual updates through the settings - updating each patch in layers. Happy to say I had success in downloading OTA. (For those curious- phone is an unlocked model in US - it's prepay and not on Verizon although it used Verizon's towers). With that said, I thought I had the most current version. Android 7.0 with December 1, 2017 patch Build number NPJS25.93-14.7-3.
As I started reading these forums, I saw where the PLAY version had a higher Android number. 7.1.1.
That had me puzzled.
So, I did some research and found that Dec 1, 2017 was not the latest patch for Moto G4.
I see per Moto's maintenance release notes that there is another one, Feb 1, 2018 to fix KRACK.

Weird thing is, though, that these notes were released on 1/24/18. It's now 3/21/18.
I am perplexed as to why the manual check for software updates in settings doesn't pull this in.
I have tried multiple times and the phone says my device software is up to date.
The best I can assume is that this is available but still being tested????

- Can anyone confirm this?
- Any ETA?
- Just wait for a PUSH notification?
To sum this inquiry up:
- Has anyone with the MOTO G4 in US received this Feb 2018 update?
- If so, how did you install?
- Are you with a specific carrier?
- Does this update change the version to Android 7.1.1.?
- Are there more Nougat updates to come after this?
Sadly, no OREO- huh. (need I say ridiculous on that decision).
Thank you for reading.
