I could do only half the process but my computer didn't have the required driver. Plz give me another advice

If you had reset, you would be all finished by now.  Sometimes it is easier.

And if you don't restore, but manually add apps you tend to only install the things you need and get a very clean running system.

What AlphaDog said. If you can't diagnose, then you're probably better off performing a reset.

Re: Nougat issue

Happened to me as well, after the nougat update. A factory reset fixed the problem.

Please note, after the update (if the problem happens) the calculator icon and its name are changed with an android generic icon and a name like com. ...etc
Someone in my country who reported the same problem told that he fixed by deactivating and activating the app. I did not try because before to read his solution I made a reboot. So please note again, a reboot causes the complete disappearing of the calculator's substitution, so you have to do a factory reset.
A factory reset anyway is good after a major update as this one is.

I have done this and confirm it does work

By downloading and using ADB from
(Check youtube how to install adb)

(the standalone command line link doesn't currently work from the site so its advised to use the link above).

I would like to add after doing this and verifying that the app has appeared in the app drawer.
first check the version number before trying to update the calculator app by going to the play store pressing "install" and the version number should change from 7.0.1 to 7.3 (at the moment of writing but 7.3 will probably increase in future)
Secondly, for those who are a bit cautious as I am and don't want to download APKs from online. If you have another Android device with the calculator you can install an app called "App extractor" which gives you the apk and then afterwards you can transfer it to the phone which has the issue.
