Power button opening camera

2017-08-21, 0:28 AM

Almost every time I press the power button on my Moto G4 to unlock the screen the camera opens, which is becoming really annoying... I'd like to know if there is a way to turn that shortcut off or a solution to that problem, if someone could help me I'd appreciate. Thanks!

Hi GabrielBS,

Try clearing the cache and data of your camera app. Go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear Cache and Data. Reboot the phone after, then test. Let us know what happens.

Seems like a lot of people have this problem. Did you find a solution already?

Guys,

Kindly backup all your data and perform factory data reset. I would also advise you to remove your Google account from the phone before proceeding with it. The steps are here: https://motorola-mobility-en-in.custhelp.com/app/home/device/motorola/moto-g4-g4-plus/topic/reset/reset-to-factory-settings/1

This is an Android feature. Turn it off in Display settings.

Are you out of your mind?
Just go to Display Setting--> Power button for Camera. Switch it off.

Hi,

It is really annoying Android behavior after upgrade to 7.1.1.

Unfortunately this option to turn it off is not available in my android version 7.1.1. - MOTO X PLAY. Does someone knows where the option is placed in the menu?

It's an Android feature.

You can turn it off by

Settings>>Display>> "Press power button twice for camera" >off
