random shutdowns, nothing proposed helped- question about the warranty

2017-07-14, 14:33 PM

Hello,

My friend bought me a g 4 plus for my birthday on amazon in the US (with the one year warranty) last august. It was all good up until 4 months later. It started shutting down once in a while, now it's impossible to use it. I want to send it back but i have a problem. When she brought it back to my country she had lost the warranty paper. My friend sent me the emails and everything that is related to the transaction and order through mail.

Is it possible to get it repair under the warranty? If so, what address should i send it to, and what should i do to make it work? What paper should i present, how to present it, etc.

Thank you!

Warranty issues are handled by the country of origin, so in this case it would have to be done in the US. You could ship it to your friend and she could send it in for repair, and then when it's complete they would ship it to her. They won't ship outside the US

That's helpful, thanks. However, what should I do since I don't have any warranty paper? how to prove that I'm within the warranty? What should my friend send with the phone?

she should be able to get the receipt through Amazon, then she would contact Motorola support to set up the warranty repair and get an RMA number, they'd instruct her from there

As I said before, you need to ship the phone to your friend first. Motorola doesn't provide support for phones outside of their sales region.

As far as how long it will take, it depends on what they need to do
