I just bought a Motorola/Lenovo Moto G4 Play via Amazon Germany (a retail, non-sim-locked version).
The phone is used in Switzerland and is configured to use the German language.
After a few hours of usage, the device received a system-update and the update information is shown in Spanish language. What should I do? Wait for a fix, or can I install it anyway? I don't want that the phone switches to Spanish after the installation.
Current Android version: 6.0.1
Current Security patch: 2017.Feb.1.
Current Build number: MPIS24.241-2.45-12
Current Software variant: ora
Current Software channel: oraes
The new system software version (with Spanish text) that I don't installed yet: MPIS24.241-2.45-16
Thanks for any info,

based on the software channel you provided it looks like the phone was intended for use on Orange Spain.
On a non carrier branded phone the software channel would be reteu
as far as the update you should be fine to install it. Generally they don't change any settings for language and things of that nature unless you do a factory reset
