Then I suggest you contact Customer Support for repair/replacement.
If you decide to do that, back up your data, do a factory data reset, and take a picture of the phone before you pack it up.

Mine isn't under warranty. I've tried several cables and tried connecting it to my other family members' computers with no luck so I guess it's a problem with the phone rather than the cord or computer. I'm not sure why the phone port would be damaged since the phone has barely been used but I guess I'll have to take it to have someone look at it...

The steps didn't help. The device was bought new and unlocked and I've had it for a little while but without using it until now. I did set it up.
I think I properly updated my profile now. Thanks.
