I have a G4 plus running on Android 7 and with 32 GB sd card installed. I had used the camera setting to store images on the sd card. Recently I downloaded a newer version of the phone app (version 22.214.171.124). However when I try to check to make sure images are still stored on external memory there is no storage setting as on previous version. Under heading "save settings" there is a picture of an sd card tagged Storage and Phone, but it is grey and can't be changed.
Any suggestions or solutions would be very much appreciated.

The original was quite OK, don't notice much difference with the upgrade beyond some layout look and feels. Th update (recommended by Motorola) says bug fixes and stability improvements.
If I delete the new Camera app, how can I reinstall the original factory version?

The Camera app is a locked system app and cannot be removed, only updated. If you try to disable/remove it you should be offered to return to the Factory Default app. This is standard on all Android phones for,"System" apps
