this morning there was a message on my phone in Google Play that Google Protect detected a dangerous APP: blue-tooth-share 7.0.
Google Play Protect already disabled it and asked me if i wanted it to be removed.
I think, oke dangerous APP, remove it.
However not realising / knowing that this maybe could effect the bluetooth option on my phone.
So now it is no more possible to activate bluetooth on my phone. When i put on bluetooth the button is activated a few seconds and after that deactived again.
Yesterday bluetooth was working fine on my phone, so i'm pretty sure that play protect destroyed bluetooth on my phone.
Booting in safe-mode and trying te enable bluetooth didn't help.
OS on my phone G4Plus: 7.0 with security updates from 01-07-2017.
How can i solve this problem?
Can i download somewhere blue-tooth-share 7.0 at the site of Lenovo?
When i google for this file i see different sites (for instance apk-mirror) where the file can be downloaded, but is this safe?
The APP can't be found in Google Play if i did look good, or i'm wrong?
Hope this problem can be solved without returning to factory-settings or something like that.
@Google: "thanks" for your great protection and destroying my bluetooth.
Solved! Go to Solution.

I also got the same warning about Bluetooth few minutes ago and when clicked "Deactivate", I can't start Bluetooth now.

Disable Play protect for all apps except for Play Store apps: go to Settings -> Google -> Security -> Google Play Protect >Scan device for security threats ->Turnoff. Google shame on you, you own us! Howto recover app, I can't say though.

"Good" to read that i'm not the only one that has this problem, was beginning to have doubts about myself
If i'm correct, this is an official Lenovo forum?
If yes, could someone from Lenovo react to this problem?
- is there a solution
- can Lenovo provide this APP via it's site
- can Lenovo contact Google about this and together solve this problem
I'll try contact Google also directly about this to ask for a solution and to "thank" them for this nice problem.

Same issue here, Google Play Protect disabled my Bluetooth software with the most idiotic message ever "bluetooth is unsafe any may cause you to receive unwanted sms notifications" (**bleep**??)
Ony solution right now is to reset phone to factory settings. My Bluetooth is now functioning properly again.
And I have disabled PlayProtect for now until Google fixes this total fail. (Open Play Store > go to the menu > select Play Protect > Disable the scanning functionality).

I had the same problem but I managed to fix it! Go to the settings menu -> Applications -> Reset application settings. Google Play Protect did not remove the software itself, it just disabled it. If you check the system applications from the applications menu, it probably says that Bluetooth Auto Connect is disabled. It cannot be enabled manually, but resetting all application settings did the trick.
