Re: Moto G4 Plus WIFI battery drain

When WiFi is off why it is using power?

I am not using WiFi but still my phone is using battery. See the screenshots.

WiFi is active for 5 hours but its already disabled.

My phone was heating just because of this.

If apps have WiFi permission they can use it even when you are not. I can try to look into your battery life though. Can you please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are turned on, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems?

Please do not PM me - if you have issues, search the forums for threads on your topic and post there, or start a new thread. Thanks!

Check if your WIFI scanning is disabled under location settings or not. It can be the culprit. I disbaled it and since then I am not having this issue WIFI using more than screen. And its not showing under battery. And getting 5.45 hours to 7 hours SOT. And 24 hours backup.

It's already disabled because for every problem I got a solution on xda forums but this is still unsolved.

Re: Moto G4 Plus WIFI battery drain

Hey Matt. Our concern is when we are not using WiFi why it is consuming batter?
Everything is disabled but still its draining battery.
It doesn't mean you are gett 10 days battery backup. We just want to remove this wifi drain bug.

Hello Amit, I am not getting this WIFI on top in battery usage percentage after disabling WIFI scanning from location (3 dot menu). Then why should you still getting it?? And I am enjoying 24+ hours of backup and 5.45-6.18 hours of SOT. Did u rebooted your phone after disabling the WIFI scanning?? If you didn't then you should. It will fix the issue.
