Problems with earphone jack.

IMG_20161013_190023122.jpg

This is the earphone used by me, the one given with Samsung smartphones.

Sometimes, even after I have inserted the earphone jack into the slot, my phone doesn't detect it. Only after I rotate it a bit (while it's inside), the phone finally recognises it and then it works fine afterall.

Re: Problems with earphone jack.

Is your headphone equipped with a microphone?

Did you try to use a headphone that doesn't have a microphone port on it?

I think headphones with microphone port may not be officially supported.

Well, yes my earphones (not headphones) does have a mic. But as I said, giving a little rotation makes it work.

Re: Problems with earphone jack.

Does the pins go all the way into the phone headphone jack? Probably not.

Compare the pins of a headphone without microphone and one that has it. They should be different.

Try using a headphone without microphone and see if the same problem remains.

Hi reeshabh,

Please make sure you're using 3.5 mm headset jack for this is the requirement for our Moto G4 devices.

Re: Problems with earphone jack.

Ok. So what is your experience with the headphones that came with the G4 phone?

Do they work without issues?
