We are naive customers, Lenovo will never upgrade the G4 plus to Oreo, defaulting on its own advertising when they put it on sale, in my family circle will never use a Lenovo-Motorola again.

"Hello people so there is finally some good news. Moto has kept the promise afterall and new soak test build has been made available for you guys. It is Oreo 8.1 with November 01 2018 *removed* Patch. The build number of the update is OPJ28.128."
If Motorola/Lenovo doesn't make the update available OTA in Canada within next month (by New years) I'm going to do it manually myself. I have two Moto phones as backups a G4 Play and a G4 Plus. Waited a little over a year for the Nougat update for the G4 Play; the Oreo update for the G4 Plus has been even longer...at least the G4 plus has been getting security patches while waiting. Don't think I want to go down this road again with Motorola/Lenovo, which is a shame because I like the phones.

Will this happen while the phone is still working ? it is just insane thath Lenoval got away with this crap in the first place I for one will be paying a little more and getting a better phone with a company that at least upgrades to the newer prosessors that are avalible. I sometimes think Lenoval is just a wharehouse clean out company to get rid of the old chip sets
it is going on 2 and soon to be half years now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
