So Motorola, to fix this situation, you're going to replace my G5 Plus with a new G5s Plus right?

Crazy lack of any real update. Makes me think the fix won't be easy or it would have happened

Motorola really should be putting something out saying this device isn't fully compatible with Verizon and allowing all customers with issues to return their devices, no questions asked. This really is terrible customer service. The fact that folks here have to beg before an update is issued is absurd. I truly believe they wouldn't post anything here without us demanding it. I'm beyond irritated with this issue.

As much as I loved this device, the call problem, silence from Lenovo and the fear of never getting a fix...I said screw it and it sold it to someone who could get good use out of it. Now to look for something else. Sad.

Re: 5 Plus on Verizon - very poor call quality

Well, I waited 30 days and no resolution to the problem. So I am returning the phone.

For me it was more than choppy calls issue...it was choppy podcast listening (dropping in an out due to connectivity).  Also, waze would also lose connection too. So I would be driving and not be able to get to my destination because the connection dropped out.

It is NOT the signal in this area--my husnand has an iphone (I had an iphone and had switched to this).  The iphones never had choppy calls or dropped connections during podcasts or during waze (or at most one time in a two or three month period) -- not two or three times in a 10 minute period with this phone.

I am very dissappointed and at this point, I am not sure what to do about a replacement phone.

Have there been any updates? I read the entire string, see a few recommendation by users to turn off features and a note from Motorola support every either stating ‘we are aware of the issues and working it’ or asking folks to ‘restate details about the issues’ (even though there are almost 300 users reporting the exact same thing). Took a trip this weekend and had the same call issues where ever we went, people could hear me and I only heard parts of every other word. We are on Verizon in NH, Maine, Ma.

Help Motorola please, the phone is unusable for calling.

The only information they have given us is that they are looking into it.

No idea how widespread it is (although it seems widespread)
No idea if it's hardware or software
No idea if they have replicated the issue
No idea if they are testing a fix
No idea on a time frame

I hope they fix it because I do like the phone, but based on this experience and the total lack of any meaningful communication from Motorola/Lenovo, I will never buy or recommend another Moto phone. I understand that problems occur, but this lack of communication is unacceptable. How companies treat their customers defines them. I will not deal with Moto again.

Yeah, I'm done with this company. This will be the last Motorola phone i own. I just won't put my money into a company that doesn't care about their customers. The fact that they have so many people having this major issue and they maintain silence is ridiculous.
