Matt,

Thank you for your help.  Do you know why the device is working fine for some users on Verizon but not for those of us on this forum?  I'm curious if we all just received defective devices or if there is a larger issue.  A lot of us are still within the return window, so if it is a defective device, we can just trade it in.

I think it's region-based - Verizon uses different types of equipment for VoLTE in various cities, and the compatibility glitch may only affect a subset of these implementation. Someone (Matt?) mentioned earlier in the thread that they were unable to duplicate the problem in Chicago, but could elsewhere.

Matt, I'd like to be included in the trial run. I've updated my profile with IMEI. Will you notify us when the update is pushed out? My phone has been unusable with HD voice on, so I've got it disabled at the moment.

Just purchased the G5 Plus.  Just had my first crappy sound issue.  Is there ANY word on when this will be fixed?  Will probably return tomorrow if I do not hear anything positive.  I am registered so if and when a soak test or beta test happens, I would happily be included.

Been using the Samsung S8 for a week now.  I had forgotten what clear calls sound like.  It is night and day.  Even the Bluetooth car calling doesn't break up like on the G5.  It's nice when everything just works.  Hopefully this works out for the rest of you.  Personally I had had enough.

bryman63 or anyone else know how to return this "phone" to Amazon after the 30-day return period?  I have been unable to figure out how to initiate at return.  The only option I have available in the Amazon order summary detail is to contact the manufacturer.  Thanks.

I have always been successful in getting what I want when I initiate a chat session on amazon. The customer service reps on the chat usually have the power to grant you what you need.
