No, when I go into System updates it says my software is up to date. Is this a specific update that you have to get an app for?

To disable Enhanced 4g LTE Mode go to Settings. Under first section which I believe is WIFI & Networks click "More."  Then click "Cellular networks" and you will see where you can disable that mode. It worked for us.  We bought three of the same 64 gig Amazon phones on Prime Day and all of them had the same problem.

I really like these phones, except for this call quality problem I hope gets fixed. I think we have 30 days to return them. I hate going through the hassle of returning stuff though and of course I'm not going to be able to buy three other phones for under $600. I don't know what I'm going to do yet.  So far we've had no more garbled call problems since disabling Enhanced 4g LTE Mode.  But, I hate that we can't be on a call and look something up online at the same time. I rarely do that, but do sometimes for work when out of the office on a call with a client and need to look something up in court records. I just want this phone to work as a phone and for all the important features to work. That's not too much to ask.

I don't think so. But it's possible if your's is new enough maybe it was already factory installed...

Just checking in. No news but to my mind, every day brings us closer to the release. Sorry I don't have a firm ETA.

Please do not PM me - if you have issues, search the forums for threads on your topic and post there, or start a new thread. Thanks!

Thanks for the update Matt. At this point for a daily phone it is more like 4 months and counting on dealing with not being able to use VoLTE. Verizon is giving a promo on the droid z2 force but due to the fact it is available on all carriers I'm scared to replace the g5 with that phone since it might have the same issue. Before this phone I had the orginal droid, a droid razr maxx hd and a droid turbo and never had an issue that dragged out this long. But this issue has definitely lowered my confidence in Motorola and it is a shame because I really like the phone but the inability to resolve such a basic feature in a timely manner is really off-putting. At this point I'm having to figure out what manufacturer I should start buying my future phones from.

Agree. For me, this is my first time with a Motorola. I have had almost exclusively Samsung prior to this, and this is making it highly unlikely that I will ever get another Motorola or Lenovo product. I think it's most likely back to Samsung for me.

Given how long this is taking, I think customers are just fed up.

How do you disable enhanced 4G LTE Mode? I can't seem to find it on mine (Amazon Prime Moto G5 Plus 64 GB).

Go to Settings > ... More > Cellular networks > Enhanced 4G LTE Mode.

Thanks for the update Matt.....besides this problem I've had from the start - I've noticed some new problems with my phone as well (in the past week or 2)....How do I go about a warrantee exchange?

These are what I have been experiencing:
1. Constantly rebooting
2. google search delays and stops working
3. Adaptive Brightness does not always work - screen is too dark for seeing
4. Gestures and motion controls not working - when turn phone upside down does not go into Do not disturb and also, picking up phone does not stop ringing (I don't think this ever worked)

It is almost as if these problems started after the update I got 2 weeks ago. Anyone else?

OMG, I didn't have that until I updated my plan to the latest $40/w 3GB. I had $40/w 2GB until 30 minutes ago. Now it is there! Thank you!
