Just checking in. No news but to my mind, every day brings us closer to the release. Sorry I don't have a firm ETA.

Hey @, @, @, @ , can you please update us on the status of a fix for the call quality issue that causes us to have to disable VoLTE completely??  I am astonished that something that was seemingly a couple week fix back in APRIL has extended to AUGUST with NO resolution even estimated!  It took nearly 2 months before a patch was being discussed in the first message below, and that was nearly 2 months ago:

It's (obviously) been delayed, and we're still waiting on the Verizon update. It's coming. So sorry for the false start(s)."

Nothing since then, two weeks ago.  The above are the only constructive updates we've gotten from Motorola.  Hearing things like "pushed back a bit", "couple of bumps in the road", "moving target", "stuff can happen", "been delayed", and "no news" over the course of the last 60 days is incredibly frustrating.

PLEASE fix this ASAP!!

Sadly it seems Motorola has no interest in customer retention. They got their money from us already so I guess they have no interest in keeping us happy.

When talking to a Verizon Rep in the store they say phones are tested before being sold by Verizon so it's better to buy from Verizon than an unlocked phone. I guess the service providers can put more pressure on Moto as well if there are any issues compared to a few consumers on a forum. I ordered an asus zenfone ar that I will be getting this weekend, done with Motorola for now.

I hope someone on this thread starts a class action lawsuit for unresolved issues with a phone advertised as VoLTE capable on Verizon while it is clearly not.

Having had several VZW branded phones over the past 20 years (all but one of them a Moto phone) one comes to loathe them some times. Primarily due to the VZW bloatware they put on the phone that cannot be removed and which sometimes drags the phone operation to a crawl. My last VZW branded phone was a Motorola phone that Moto decided to up and stop updating two years after I purchased it from VZW which crippled the phone for certain features like WiFi calling. VZW blamed Moto. Moto blamed VZW. Plus I couldn't root that phone either to put ROM's on it that now that Moto/VZW stopped supporting it.

Unfortunately it may come to that. As litigious as the United States has become where people sue over the littlest thing, I won't be surprised if someone does fire up a class action suite over the VoLTE issue and the wacky low volume issue with this phone.

Its a shame that Moto is taking so long to fix these two glaring issues with the phone. If these two issues were fixed this wold be one of the best Moto phones I've used in a good long while.

I've lost all faith I Motorola. Just remember how quickly they had that 911 fix out when it was discovered it was a problem but only because they would get their asses sued. Since this is only affecting a much smaller percentage of people, they probably have this on the back burner and have interns or monkeys working on this, that is if they are even trying to solve this problem (doubt it).

Dont know about you guys, but this is my first and last Moto device.

Same, will never buy a Moto (or Lenovo) device again. First and last.

Girard Gibbs is a great class action attorney. They held LG accountable for the LG G4, G5, V10, V20, and Nexus devices.

Accountability, that word is so impactful.

I am one of the lucky ones and have none of the call issues. This is the best phone I've ever had. The home/navigation button is the best design ever for an Android device...

Any update on this? Does this affect all Moto 5g plus or just some? I am either returning this phone for a full refund or may try a replacement phone if most of them work OK. I've only had the phone for 1 month and the majority of calls I've been on have been nearly unintelligible, which makes the phone pretty worthless.

There is no update. If you can still return it and buy a phone from a different manufacturer, do it and don't look back.

Before I saw this forum, I had already returned my first G5+ , got a replacement. I figured it was just that phone. But the replacement has the same issue.

I don't know if ALL the G5+ has this problem. But the 2 I had do.

Re: 5 Plus on Verizon - very poor call quality

Hello, I have 3 of these Moto 5g PLUS phones unlocked on Verizon. One of them has no voice quality issues, but also has NO Enhanced LTE setting for some reason.

.

I have no idea why that is even thought it is latest update. The other two phones have voice quality issues, Really nasty. They have Enhanced LTE in the settings which I turned off, and there is some improvement

Can someone tell me what you lose when you turn Enhanced LTE off? I am confused why my phone purchased at same time does not have the Enhanced LTE Setting while the other two have it.

Anyone know if Motorola is fixing this voice quality issue? I like the phone, but may have to return them if they dont fix this.

Thanks!
