Just curious if SIM should be removed or is update being pushed through Verizon servers?

SIM should be in the phone as the update will currently only be available for Verizon users.

My phone notified me at about 11:30AM EST that a Softwar Update was availiable.  I checked and it states NPN25-137-43-5 is availiable.  I will try to download tonight and report tonight or tomorrow morning.

is motorola fixing this issue? i just bought 2 of these phones and the only way to make calls is with enhanced lte services disabled. the g4 and samsung phone these replaced on my verizon accounts do not have this issue. i cant return phones now and im stuck with 2 phones that do not work properly.

Ok, so I checked a couple of your devices. It looks like you're using the Amazon version. Currently, the software is only for Retail (non-Amazon) devices on Verizon. I apologize for the confusion.

I'm not using an Amazon phone. My phone is an unlocked version purchased through BestBuy online.

 Will this update be available to those of us who use the G5 Plus (non Amazon version) on MVNO's that use the Verizon network? Currently my G5 Plus indicates its up to date.
