If anyone is considering doing a factory reset to get the update, I would advise against that. I installed the May update after removing my SIM card a while back. Then my phone started acting up and I did a factory reset. My phone still shows that I have the May security update though. It didn't go away, even though I had to reinstall everything else and otherwise start over. Now I'm not getting the new update until the next update comes out which will probably be 2019 or something like that. Oh well, my phone works with Enhanced 4g LTE mode turned off. My wife did get the new update and when we turned that mode back on she went back to having those gawd awful choppy calls so we turned it back off. Such is life.

Oh, not a factory reset... We were talking about flashing the system. That's why I was asking Tom if Motorola hosted the files anywhere.

I don't remember the security dates before or after.

Based on what Tom posted, I may be confused as what updates.
I though there was only one previous update, that being the one from May.

But, I actuivated with a Verizon MVNO SIM so per Tom I wouldn't have got that.

But after I activated it and got stuff setup, there was an system update offered and installed.

Then the day this newest one was announced, it was offered (and installed).

My wife uses the phone so I can't check it until tonight.

So Tom said there is a update. Then Tom said only certain people will get update. So now us with no update still have to turn off advanced lte on the phone. So like some people get sushi while the others have to eat rice. Not sure why you can't update all of them since this is the problem that was addressed. So I will sit here and talk to my brother and then hang up with him so I can look something up. Then call him back after I see what I need to, and hope I don't forget anything or I will have to hang up and do it all agian. Hope I don't forget to turn the advanced back off and have a emergency. I would suck that my wife calls and I was supposed to meet her at the hospital, but I ended up at the store getting bread cause the call was so choppy.

Prior to the update I experienced 100% percent failures on voice over LTE,  after the update I'm probably 99%successful. And the 1% I can still make out the call maybe a little bit of choppiness. I only make about one voice call a day so I wouldn't call it conclusive.  I've had the update since day one.

One more thing that I can add is that I have 176 hours of up time on my phone. So it doesn't appear that you need to reset the phone in order to make the voice over LTE continue to work well.

I believe I have the latest update, but VoltE isn't an option on my unlocked G5+.  I haven't had it that long and the SIM was just moved from my failed Verizon Turbo 2 (where it worked).  I've heard a few people say I sound choppy.

 

I had disabled this feature on the Turbo 2 since I kept having call issues in the office from poor LTE reception.  So I'm mainly just curious.

Those stats indicate that you have made at least 100 calls since the update though!
