I installed my update last night on my Amazon G5 Plus and turned Enhanced 4g LTE mode back on and all my calls are clear. I'm glad about that. Recently though I've had an issue where things I type in often take forever to actually appear. I don't know what that lag is all about. I hope to figure out a fix for that. This is a relatively knew issue, something that didn't start happening until recently. Rebooting the phone hasn't helped.

I have had this lag too, since the July update. The way I have solved it is to clear the cache in Launcher3 and google app. The icons are reset on the screens, which is annoying, but it fixes it for a few weeks (and then it had to do it again). It is some sort of memory leak.

I had the lag as well, screens taking forever to load, typing was slow.

 

I did a factory reset and reinstalled what few apps I like and everything was back to normal speeds. This was about 3 weeks ago.

You have got to be kidding me! I wait months and months for my VoLTE to be fixed, and the day that the update finally arrives, I get this message upon taking the OTA update!!!!

 

What am I supposed to do now?

I would try again. Reboot your phone and give another chance

You cleared the cache in Launcher3? What is that? I can't find it on my phone. I looked at the Google app and I have less than 3 megabytes cached. I use Chrome all the time. Maybe I should clear the cache in Chrome? I can't even find a Launcher3 app. Is that something we all have or something you have downloaded?

Go to settings>Apps, tap 3 dots at upper right and choose "show system". Now you'll see launcher3 in the list

Very funny. You think I waited three months, finally got the update I was waiting for, got an error message, and then gave up?? Come on...

 

Of course I rebooted it. And rebooted it. And rebooted it.

 

It starts the update with the spinning colored circle thingy, the little progress bar moves, and... BAM! ... I get the dead Android guy with the red triangle coming out of his guts. Something like this stock image from a Google search:
