There are plenty of option to workaround the issue, from disabling VoLTE/HD Voice to VoIP options.

If the first call was not working correct, why would you not implement one of the workarounds?

FWIW, I have a phone that works great when I'm out and about, but I still have to use VoIP at home due to poor signal strength.

You should be careful or his doctors might get mad at you too. They're already mad at Motorola.

I'm used to people being mad at me. I'm married.

 

Just common sense dictates you find a solution. I'm not mad at my phone manufacturer or the service provider because signal in my house is weak (the metal roof doesn't help).

I have the same issue. Enhanced 4G is no longer an option. However I can not call and browse the internet. One or the other only. This was a non issue before the update (but had dropped/choppy calls). The bright side is that the calls are now clear, but the root issue still remains. Can not call and surf at the same time. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Everything is working well now. No more choppy calls and surfing the web works while on a call.

 

So for me, I'm a happy camper!

I don't get it with no SIM installed, let alone with one in.  Up to date every time.  I check it once per day.

 

It's rather annoying that an unlocked, carrier-independent phone (the reason many of us bought this model) now seems as if it requires a Verizon-specific update (43) that is not getting updated to newer versions even as other people are getting -83..

 Someone earlier said they got -83 over -43-5.

 Not sure if they had a SIM installed or not but it sounds like they didn't.

I hope they release a patch with the KRACK fix, Blue Borne, and the Verizon fixes soon and roll it out to everyone instead of this piecemeal method.
I get that -83 was for those that had take -35-5 and therfore didn't get -43. But it has signifigane security fixes too, and should have went to everyone (at least all US Retail/Amazon devices, I get other markets having a different update schedule).

The new update seems fixed the VoLTE issue. BUT now I am facing another issue, the vibration stops working periodically, I have to shake the phone to get it to work then it stops working again....It just happened since last week, anyone has the same issue? Thanks!
