Well, it didn't roll anything back, it just hasn't been updated further.

is it possible to catch back up with security updates once I've joined another carrier, or do I have to wait for the next major update?  The other Moto G5 Plus models are up to the August Security patch update in the US.  Thanks in advance.

Unclear how to get -43 to update to -83. One or two people claimed to get it but most haven't.

I received the -83 update a couple days after it was released. Fixed all my problems.

Yet many (like me) are still stuck on -43.

I tried w/o a SIM as well and still no update shown.

I've been on 37 and tonight I was updated straight to 83.  Never received the 43 update.  The 83 is an August dated update.

There was an uissue and -43 would not install over the update from May (-35-5) that was not supposed to go to phones that used Verizon (or it's MVNOs) SIMs. Not sure about -37. I don't recll ever seeing it mentioned but I'm not surprised that it didn't get the -43 release.

Now, why it took so long to get -83 is another question.
My phone is still on -43 so they didn't push it out to all US phones yet.

Does anyone know after all the updates does HD voice still work even though the options are now missing from the phone after the latest updates?

My phone is still on -43 so they didn't push it out to all US phones yet.

Well, last night my wife said she'd been getting notifications about the update all day.

Installed last night. Still no idea why it took so long to roll out.

Finally got my update to NPN25.137-83 (previously -43-5) on the RETUS channel as well.  No idea why it took so long either; I'd given up hope that there'd be any update at all.

I got this phone yesterday, and I don't see any options to enable WiFi calling.  I also have no Advanced Calling option anywhere in my menus.  I'm on NPN25.137-83.

Is there something I need to do on my account to get these options to show up on my phone?

“Enhanced 4G LTE Mode” option in Settings --> More --> Wireless & Networks --> Cellular networks does not exist for me. :-(

If you haven't done so already, check with your mobile provider to ensure they support the G5 Plus VoLTE on their network. Could be something as simple as your provider enabling VoLTE on your account.

Thank you for that -- I have enabled it on my account.  Through the "Testing" menu, I enabled the "VoLTE Provisioned" option and the menu for Advanced Calling showed up.  That allows me to browse while on a call.  However, I still don't see anywhere to enable Wi-Fi Calling.  I checked in the phone dialer (menu --> settings -- calls) where I thought it might be.

I understand other people with Verizon in the US have Wi-Fi Calling working on this phone, so I'm hopeful someone can tell me how/where to find it.

If you want Wi-Fi calling and texting, get Google Duo and Hangouts.
