I use stock chrome or Firefox on my G5
That particular message was made with stock chrome.
At my end trying link no problem
Still on my project but succeeding.
Different cake then resetting and reloading a G5.

Today using my old G4 on Nougat still. Well battery life on nougat is pretty bad against oreo!! As said many times before.
And that G4 is even a resetted clean phone with no extra apps!
Conclusion, a G5 on Oreo seems a better deal

With the most recent update on my Moto G5 Plus, the battery life went down incredibly. I unplug the phone, and it drops 3%... just after unplugging it!
I use it for five minutes, and it drops 10%!!!
What is happening?
Please fix this bug ASAP... the phone is no good during the day... it dies long before it used to!
I do hope someone on the Lenovo staff sees these posts and worries about their customers' satisfaction...

No battery problems on normal G5 after last Oreo update this week. As said my older G4 still on Nougat has a considerable worse problem. However I have another true problem after this Security update. Phone calls are repeatedly disconnected without accidentally touching touchscreen with cheek!

Rather than waiting to be told what to do, why not read this thread and see all the solutions posted. It is not a bug with the Oreo update - much more likely is some crappy app on your phone. Do a factory reset and then reinstall just those apps that are from a reliable source. That fixed my battery issues completely and power consumption is no worse than on Nougat.

I completely agree with you guys...I think the solution to this problem is to just accept whatever you are experiencing and If you are unhappy with it, and also willing to factory reset the phone ..Do It ! or Accept the situation.
Otherwise buy a new device.
I believe there will be no real solution provided by moto !
