Device stopped, Screen blank. Hardware keys won't respond.

2018-03-10, 11:10 AM

Stock Android, January Security Patch. Factory reset it a couple of weeks ago, because of intermittent reboots.

While walking around with my Moto in its belt pouch, listening to music via my Zolo Liberty+ the music stopped.

Turneds out my Moto G5s Plus seemed to be stuck, no screen. Power was at 99% when I left home about half an hour before. The device seemen to be active. As I initially walked away from it, my MyKronoz ZeTime warned my of the disconnect. When I was next to my device, it seemed to reconnect. The connection seems to be lost now (maybe the software of the ZeTime isn't that smart?).

Attaching it to a charger makes no difference. No screen at all. No indication of charging. Find my device can't find my Moto G5s Plus (last seen, just before I noticed the device stopped working).

I noticed that my “navigating”/fingerprint sensor button can’t be depressed. None of the other hardware keys respond. So, I can’t turn it on or off, or factory reset.

Anyone?

TIA, cu,

Chow

Still the wrong forum! This is the G5 and G5plus forum.

Scroll to the bottom of this page and select the G5s forum you will get more accurate advice there.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Tnx.

How do I remove this? I don’t see a Delete option.

Not too sure, try editing the first post or leave a note asking a moderator to move it for you.  Best of luck.
