Headphone jack stopped working overnight.

2019-02-06, 2:18 AM

In my Moto g5s plus, the headphone jack has stopped working overnight.

I used it till 10 pm the previous night and today morning 9 am it's not working.

The sound is coming from the speakers even when the headphones are inserted .

Same headphones work in other phones.

I ran the hardware test in Moto help app and the audio connection fails.

Also the headphone mic never worked in my phone but it's not a big issue for me since I don't use it. But music is important

Any suggestions here.

Hi deep215

Welcome to Forums,

Sorry to know about this, can you please check below-mentioned checkpoints and see if that helps.

1. Make sure your headphones aren’t broken
2. Check to see if the smartphone is connected to a different device via Bluetooth
3. Clean the headphone jack
4. Check audio settings and restart the device

If none of the fixes listed above work, it means that the problem isn’t quite as minor as hoped. If your device is still under warranty, the best thing repair would next step. To locate our Repair Center use this link , also we would request you take a back of the device and carry the device invoice copy while your visit.

Thanks

Sandip
