I'm a new G5 guy. I ran into this issue too. One of my apps- slingplayer was creating MASSIVE log files 30+ gb. The app streams video from my cable box at home. Saw it twice so far. Deleted the files and all was good.

Hi, unfortunately I didn't find an answer. I reset the phone which temporarily fixed it but the data just built up again without me being able to see which app was causing the problem.

Hi Tomsk,
Thanks for posting, Have tried to check the same in safe mode? if it does not happen in safe mode then try to uninstall the recently installed apps and let us know.

Hi Sandip
I opened the phone in safe mode and the memory problem is the same.
9.58GB used out of 10.14GB
Apps are the biggest portion but only uses 1.82GB
Don't know what's using the other 7.8GB?

Here's a screenshot of the memory

Hi Tomsk,
Thank you for providing us with the screenshot In order to give you further assistance, couldl you also send me a PM with the following information?:
- IMEI number of your phone.
- Place of purchase.
- Was it ever sent for repair?
- Screenshot of the Boot Menu (You can access the Boot Menu by powering off the phone and pressing/holding the Power Button and the Volume Down at the same time. You swill see the Android mascot with their belly open and some text underneath it. We need a screenshot of that)
I look forward to your reply.
Thanks,
Sara

Hi
I got this advice which did fix the problem
"they still suspect is an app creating hidden log files (this kind of files do not appear in Storage). In order to check this, they advise to connect your phone to a computer and check one by one its folders, to see which one occupies the most space to try and identify which app is causing the problem."
I started by deleting any folders for apps which I had already uninstalled. The uninstall doesn't clear all the memory.
Hope this helps
