I undestand your point of view.

But, as you know the problem is not reproducible at 100%.

Some days not happens, some days 10 times. 

Today one time, yesterday more than five. Tomorrow maybe zero.

 

If I send the phone to the support i'm pretty sure that the technician will turn on the phone, he will take a picture, he will see that it works and send me back the same as before. Sorry but this is a true story.

 

I'll try the hard reset and the other stuff, if the problem persist i'll try to get my money back from Amazon.

I contacted Lenovo about this issue, and ended up sending my phone in for repair.  They sent me a new device.  THE NEW DEVICE HAS THE SAME ISSUE.  I contacted Lenovo again to ask about a refund or replacement with a different device.  It's very evident that Lenovo has no fix for this issue.  I am sure they will just keep sending me dysfunctional devices with the same camera error.

I totally agree with @parisisal above. I too have had this same ongoing problem. It is intermittent and so very annoying. I've done a factory reset and still get the same error (once in a while). My phone is over a year old, so I doubt I'd be able to send it in for repair, and my luck, the repair guy won't be able to duplicate my issue - and then I'll be without a phone anyway .

 

It happens in the native camera app, and also happens in apps that use the camera (and I did a factory reset with no 3rd party apps installed and it still happened in the camera app - (sometimes) ).

 

This cannot be happening to so many people and it not be a motorola/lenovo problem.

It seems we are all still waiting for this issue to be resolved for us all.  Until then I will never be purchasing or advising others to purchase a Motorola/Lenovo device.

 

Please escalate this issue and provide an official response to all the users affected.

Hi All,

 

We want to look further into this, if you can update your profile with the IMEI of your device if not done yet, this can help us investigate and see what's causing the disconnect. Also, kindly send a bug report regarding this. Bug report will collect information about your current device state

Go to Settings ->Developer options -> Enable USB debugging > Toggle On

Enable Settings -> Developer options -> Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On

Once the issue is reproduced: Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power down menu.

Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.

Then upload the BugReport to your personal Google Drive and then share the link to the BugReport on the forums in a reply.

Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the local time when you observed the behavior.

Try clearing camera and camera tuner data from apps settings if not tried.

Works, but I have to do this after few days.

That does nothing.  Still get the restart camera error immediately after clearing data and cache, and it takes 3-7 tries.to get the camera to work correctly either in the camera app or any app that accesses the camera.
