If I tap the back of the phone where the haptic motor is it will work for 5 to 8 taps then stops again. Junk!

I have been facing the same problem since my last update, even some of my friends have the same issues. I dont know whats happening with Motorola-Lenovo. I never experience this kind of issues on my Moto G2, in fact even the updates are starting to go slow, at this time we dont even know is Oreo will come out htis year.

And yes the problems are the same when im typing the vibration function stops, the fingerprint sensor stops vibrating too. and i need to wait an ammount of time for those to start working again (i dont wanna shake or drop my phone i really like it)

I'm also experiencing the same problem! The vibration was working fine from the last two months but suddenly it stopped and now when i shake my device the vibration works again! I tried safe mode but the problem persists!

What should i do? I never expected this this from Motorola!? highly dissatisfied with the product! I have used a lot of phone but never had any kind of problem until this one?

My Moto g5 plus also started this problem about a week ago, the vibration motor stops and I have to chop chop to turn on flash light and it enables it again or I would have to tap the back to make it work again. Sometimes it just randomly starts working and turns off. Please give a solution

Bro I also faced the same issue but got fixed byf following these steps!
1. Go to settings and tap on languageand input.
2. Select virtual keyboard in language and input
3.select Google Indic keyboard
4. Now in Indic keyboard tap on "keyboard"
5.now tap on ' vibration strength on keypress'
6. Set vibration level to 15 points.
That's it issue will be resolved

Re: Moto G5 plus vibration problem

Hi I have tried this and it makes no difference -if anything it's worse! I had vibrations set at 75 previously and it occasionally worked. Likewise I have sound enabled on keypress at 70%. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!! For a few characters I might be lucky enough when I am typing a text or whatever to have both working but then vibrate will stop and probably the sound on keypress will stop too. It is madly frustrating and I have been trying to solve this for some time so imagine my delight when I found this thread. Then imagine my despair when after so many months of people posting about it, there is still no solution that works.

I hadn't tried the shaking of the phone previously and yes it does help but again only for a few characters. This is the third Moto G phone  I have had and the most expensive, so Motorola may lose a loyal customer if they can't sort this out. As someone in an earlier post said we did pay for these phones - did you hear that Lenovo - so it is ridiculous that this hasn't been sorted out.

it is ridiculous that there is no fix yet for this issue.
