Moving photos from G5 Plus to a PC

I plug the usb cable fr
I use the USB cable from my phone to the PC and have tried all the options, click on import pictures but all I get is a box that says "No new photos found" even though I just took some photos before plugging in.  How can I move photos to my PC using the USB cable?  All I had to do with my htc was plug in, click one of the import photos options and the photos showed up.

Re: Moving photos from G5 Plus to a PC

Connect the phone to your pc with the usb cable, then swipe down from the top on the phone and select another option but not charging, you should then see the phone internal memory and the sd card if you have one. Copy and paste or drag and drop is the easiest option.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Additionally to that, you can share files using SHAREit app or remote management option in File manager.

Re: Moving photos from G5 Plus to a PC

I did do an app, but it is slow going.

Tried the plug in the cord but it automatically goes to charging.

My htc was pretty simple and straight forward.... plug in the cord and a window would automatically pop up giving me the choice to charge or transfer files.

Even my old Samsung S2 was like that.  Simple and straight forward.

Things like this and the camera, both photos and video, being wonky are going to make these next 2 years very long.  😒

But I do sincerely thank everyone for trying to help me out  😎

Re: Moving photos from G5 Plus to a PC

Did you try swiping down from the notification area on the phone when it's connected to the PC?,  From memory I think you need to tap more to get more options, you should then should be able to change it from charging.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Re: Moving photos from G5 Plus to a PC

I tried the method listed on this forum on my phone and found out that the process had changed.

The following is what worked for me:

Plug in the phone via USB cable

>>Settings

>>Connected Devices

>>USB Charging This Device

>>Transfer files

Then, I was able to transfer the files to my pc.
