No Night display provided in moto g5 plus

Hello sir,

i just received Oreo 8.1 in my moto G5 plus, but in moto display there is no Night display feature provided.

it's a request that in upcoming update please provide the night display feature as it is a must needed for night time reading as well as using the phone.

Add Night Light Feature In December Security Update

Dear Motorola,

Night light feature is missing in G5 plus. But this feature is already present in G5S pluse. So please add this important feature in next December security update.

Thanks,

Re: Add Night Light Feature In December Security Update

While I wouldn't complain if they add it, there are apps that do the same thing that work even if you're not rooted.  I use twilight on my G5+, though I'd retire it if they added this option.

Re: Add Night Light Feature In December Security Update

I know many third-party apps available in playstore but this feature is already present in Moto app of G5s plus and I wish Motorola add this feature in Moto app for G5 plus users.

My simple question to motorola - why we trust on third-party apps if there is an official trusted app available which can add this feature?

Re: Add Night Light Feature In December Security Update

There is a night mode already in Nougat but it was not enabled by Google. All of the other night mode apps rely on adding a filter screen in front of what you viewing. Ths one activates the already installed code.

To enable the true night mode on your g5 install an app called "Night Mode Enabler"by Mike Evans.

This is the real deal, no root required. No filter overlays, everything works.  Activate from the Pull Down Tile area.

Re: Add Night Light Feature In December Security Update

But this night mode is experimental feature and due to this my phone ram consumes over 3 GB without any running background app.I am using this feature from last two months.

My question to motorola- if night light ( not experimental feature) is already present in Moto app of G5s plus then why not for G5 plus.

How to enable night mode whenever we need

How can i enable night mode whenever i need other than setting a specific time frame? Now night mode will work for only the given time frame say 10.pm to 5 am. I just need it while reading and only for a short duration.

Re: How to enable night mode whenever we need

Install the below given app and activate it. Then you'll see a new tile called "night mode" added in notification tiles.

Just click on edit in notification panel then drag and drop the night mode tile in upper section.

After that, you may uninstall app.

Then when ever you want night mode, you can activate it clicking in notification panel.

Re: How to enable night mode whenever we need

Hi everyone,

I haven't tried this one. I guess we need to enable System UI Tuner for it to show up in the notification bar.

To enable System UI Tuner:

Swipe down the notification bar > Long press the gear icon (settings icon)

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,
