Re: Fake OTA update news Moto G5 plus

Soak tests

Soak tests

Soak tests..

Probably they should provide stable version of g5 plus globally at the first place ( not a rumoured phase rollout) and i really doubt if at all there will be any user left with moto g4 plus to enjoy oreo going by the SUPER FAST UPDATE POLICY OF OUR BELOVED LENOVO MOTO

This is a G5 thread and forum. What is motorola going to comment on? Soak tests are confidential, so they won't confirm or deny an article on a web site.

If a soak test participant leaks information about a soak test, they will no longer be participating in that test or future ones.

Moto should respect its customer. Providing information knowing that itsi wtong is provocative. Don't ask  me what Motorola will comment. Ask your company what they are going to comment.

There's no mention of soak test in the words of agent Tom. So don't ask me question, ask him.

Is it possible for the moderators to shed some light regarding the recent news about Oreo 8.1 release for Moto g5 plus in India? Most of us believe it to be a dirty game played by Motorola in order to promote their G6 release. Even their service providers seem to be calling the news a hoax. Who's this Tom guy, why is he spreading such lies?

Even though Motorola didn't promise a release date but a more than 8 month wait can be considered pretty unreasonable taking into account 8.1. For 8.0 the wait would be over a year.

Chinese companies seem to be destroying the brand value of every company they take over. It's a pity that Motorola faces the same onslaught.

This thread should be put back to unresolved. Motorola should have at least this much decency.

Looks like that Oreo update would save the planet.

This is the most hilarious forum thread I have ever read.

Of course I want my oreo but it won't change anything in my life so I just wait for it without being a whining baby...

Go on with your life, one day you will get it.

Cheers.

I see no wrong information or anything provacative. But you should not let yourself be provoked so easily.

You were the one that pointed to a web site talking about a soak test and you said you had not received a comment from Motorola - I am sorry you didn't understand my reply.

Motorola did not say there was a soak test, India Times did.

Ahhh the mystery man Tom... who is he? Maybe a membar of the Illuminati? The Templars? An Alien from Alpha Centari in human disguise? Reincarnation of someone famous?

I see you are new, but if you look at Tom's title and badge you will see he is a Motorola employee.

You are free to believe what you want - blame Chinese companies if you want - that seems to be the xenophobic thing to do these days.

But Tom gave the best answer you will get.

To begin with I wasn't expecting sarcasm!

Nevertheless, from what we could make out from Tom's message Oreo is being made available to Moto G5 plus customers in India in phased manner. He didn't say it's a soak test. On the other hand Motorola service providers are saying that it's a soak test. So which one is it?

Would you be kind enough to give a straight answer, of course if you have the answer that is?
