Two blinking lights invisible to eye

2020-03-27, 5:33 AM
Hi. I noticed a strange thing. I just brought a canon DSLR. I was just taking some snaps with various functions and while I was taking.. I just had a sudden idea to take a snap of my mobile using different aperture levels. To my astonishment.. when my camera autofocused towards my mobile camera, I see two red blinking lights constantly going on and off. I switched off and they are gone. I switched on.. I saw with my eyes.. I could not see.. I used DSLR and then I see them blinking. Is this some invisible tracking??

Hi Joshua69,

Thanks for posting! May I know where were you seeing the blinking lights on your device? Are you able to capture it in the photograph? Let me know.

Those are the proximity sensors to detect your hand approaching the screen or that you are holding the phone to your ear.  They are slightly visible in a darkened room.  Your camera's LCD array is more sensitive to infrared light than your eyes.
