For the past couple of days, I've been facing this weird charging issue with my Moto G5 Plus.
When I plug the charger in - the phone says it's charging, but the battery percentage remains the same for hours. After 2-3 hours of charging this way, if I unplug the charger and replug it, within a couple of seconds the battery capacity suddenly shoots up to 100%.
I have the original Motorola charger, a Nokia/Microsoft charger, and a battery pack that I've tried with same results. Any advice?

I tried charging in safe mode, the issue remains the same.
Sorry to hear about that. Let me help you. Try calibrating your battery. To calibrate the battery Hold the power button until the phone reboots > Plug into the supplied charger > Charge to 100% > Leave on the charger for at least an additional hour. See if it helps.
