Question to the agents...are you planning on giving us the solution/update or are we just hoping for nothing? ✌️

Re: WiFi drops and network issue after oreo upgrade

Are we getting a solution for the mobile data network drop issue?

Currently my G5 plus is running on Android 7.0.

Should I update to Oreo 8.1 OPS28.85-13 ?

and get into more issues like WiFi drop which I currently am not facing?

My problem is currently with mobile data and network dropping every minute in 4G on Android 7.0 and when I switch to 3G it seems to be solved.

Re: WiFi drops and network issue after oreo upgrade

Also having same issue after last week's update, the internet is very slow and keeps disconnecting that's on both WiFi and module internet I also noticed that the WiFi and mobile internet logo keeps disappearing and I get an X on the network connection strength so I'm assuming it keep resseting, this as only been happening since the update for my g5plus I've tried different WiFi connection with friends and still same , I've also got this exact same issue with motorola one since it's update. It seems like connection is unstable and making phones very slow.

Re: WiFi drops and network issue after oreo upgrade

I have read the entire thread and nothing is working. I see that this has been going on for months. Is there a official fix?. I do not have unlimited data and this is causing me to go over. Will Motorola pay for that?

Re: WiFi drops and network issue after oreo upgrade

the problem recently appeared on my g5plus (last Saturday). till then it was working fine.

interestingly,

1. other devices (tab, laptop, zte phone) work on the same network without any issues

2. g5plus works on other wifi networks (public as well as at office)

3. the same problem exists on my moto e4, and appeared at the same time (not sure if it's related)

I've tried, without any success though

1. wiping cache

2. resetting networks

3. static IP

4. factory reset

5. weird things like, stop wifi scanning etc.

i also submitted the log captured. but moto seems to be lost.

they asked me to get the phone replaced (by paying 150 USD). I could have done that if they upgrade me to G6
