Re: WiFi drops and network issue after oreo upgrade

Hello,

I have switched OFF the 5-GHz band @my router wich leads to a massive reduce of WLAN drops with my MOTO G5.

Cheers
Miroslav

Re: WiFi drops and network issue after oreo upgrade

Hello !

I had solved this problem!

Try these steps,

1. open the router in ur browser using ur router's ip address

2. change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 under DHCP tab

3. Dont forget to reboot

Refer the attached image.

Thank You

Re: WiFi drops and network issue after oreo upgrade

Update from me:

After switching off the 5Ghz band in my router for my WIFI I have no network drops anymore.

So if you have problems with the network drop, try switching of the 5GHz band.

Re: WiFi drops and network issue after oreo upgrade

This answer ignores vast number of facts describing the problem posted by myriad users.  Is Motorola doing any independent analysis?  It's been two months with NO official feedback, much less a fix.  NEVER AGAIN.

Re: WiFi drops and network issue after oreo upgrade

Motorola doesn't understand calm, reasonable problem description. 2 months later they're spinning their wheels.
