Android O was released in August, it's 2018 and no Android O due to soak tests being done, Motorola doesn't tell you the date because they are too lazy to release, heck I have the August security patch and it's January. Afraid to say, Android Oreo will most likely be released in April at the least

No, fall is over it ended at the middle of December. The phones at Motorola are premium mobile devices, when Lenovo bout Motorola mobility, updates got slower, patches stopped and they are bankrupt now. When Google had Motorola it was a dream come true, fast updates, faster security patches. Moto phones are great, Lenovo is terrible

The Mi A1 is an Android One device, and that's exactly what the title means -- fast release of updates.  The Moto G5S Plus is not an Android One device and has never claimed to be.

Post after post in this forum keeps claiming that Motorola said they were going to release Oreo for this phone in the Fall, but I've yet to see any official mention of that from Motorola, and no one posting here has been able to provide a link to such a claim.

Plenty of manufacturers haven't released Oreo updates to their phones yet.  The release of 8.1 didn't help matters, as I'm sure that most manufacturers just immediately gave up on releasing 8.0 and started over with testing an 8.1 release instead.

If you think Moto is slow with updates, you should try Samsung.

This is just hater talk.  Lenovo is the #4 smartphone vendor in the world.  They're the #1 PC vendor in the world, and they bought IBM's server business the same year they bought Motorola.  Google actually had very little to do with Motorola -- they only bought them to gain control of all their patents, which they kept even after selling Motorola to Lenovo.  Since Lenova acquired Motorola in 2014, Motorola's stock has gone up about 33%.

None of that that seems like "terrible" or especially bankruptcy to me.

Still my question is... Will we have 32bit or 64bit Oreo update?

That's a very good question!

I think the answer comes down to which is more difficult? Updating a currently installed 32-bit ROM to 64-bit via OTA, or converting 64-bit Oreo OS to 32 bit. The latter can't be easy to do or else third-party ROM developers wouldn't have been so quick to abandon my 32-bit Nexus 6 at the first sight of Oreo. Look how long it's taking LineageOS to come out with official versions of LineageOS 15 Oreo for the usual 32-bit devices they always support. I highly suspect it's going to be 64 bit, but I guess we'll just have to wait to find out.

Of course, all this is just my personal theory/opinion...
