There is no point telling this **bleep**ers anything as they won't help you out for your issue as they are not concern about any **bleep** thing whatever people who bought moto g5s plus going through.. their job was to sell the product and they sold thats its now whatever we as a customer going through is non of their problem

I would have to think they just haven't got to it yet, not that they don't know how to open or are having problems opening.

That was Tuesday, so they've had it Wed, Thur, and Fri, 3 days. They should have gave you an estimated date when you took it in, but I'd be shocked if it was less than a week. I'd expect ~ 10 business days.

We all have to wait when dealing with OEM repairs.

At least you had a service center you could get to. Many would have to ship it to a center, so add another week for shipping both ways.

I had the tape off my mic for 3 days and got a super tiny piece of dust in the camera so the US units aren't safe. Between the absolutely terrible camera and the dust issue I couldn't deal with it. I've since sold the phone and bought an LG G6. Good luck to everyone, Moto/Lenovo has lost me as a fan and a customer.

That is extremely unfortunate. I have been using my brand new g5s plus for the past week with no dust issues, I am sad to hear it did not work out for you. I will update you if my EU g5s plus comes in contact with the dust issue.

I have had my taape on since a week after receiving it from dust cleaning in the service centre and some signifiantly large  dust particles have gone in, so i don't think the mic hole is the only inlet.

 

Still awaiting a reply from you there, Moto. And lenovo.

I got a call from the service center stating that they had damaged the screen and it had gone blank while they were trying to open it by heating. They had told me to wait for 4 more days to replace the screen. :(
