Yes, Motorola Support has gone very quiet on here. Now 13 days since my touch-screen was disabled.............

Well, I've now got both my Moto G5S's with working touchscreen, with the Oreo update, thanks to striking it lucky with the replacement screens I got on ebay. Unfortunately the seller I bought them from now seems to be out of stock. I know I could have rolled back to Nougat as some people have done, but I'm prepared to put up with the extra expense of the new screens so that I get the google security updates in this and subsequent updates. Good luck with getting this issue sorted properly everyone. I don't hold out much hope given the lack of interest up to now. BTW - for the benefit of customer service reading this, I'm planning to buy a new laptop for Christmas, and as a result of the lack of help on this issue, Lenovo have been struck off my list of possible manufacturers.

We truly apologize for the delay. After investigating the case, we have come to a conclusion that the best option is to send the devices in for a repair, that will be covered by warranty for this particular issue (touchscreen unresponsive after update). However, if during the diagnose there will be found any physical or liquid damage a quotation and handling charge may be applied.

So, I follow followed the guidence of Hivacruise by fastbooting and imputting the commands and now my device says...

 

"Start Up Failed"

"Your device didn't start up successfully

Use the software repair assisstant on computer to repair your device

 

Blah blah blah

Error: failed to load kernel"

 

 

What's the deal here?

 

Me phone will not start up or anything - not even turn off! OMG

 

Reading other forums, looks like I'm totally ducked

 

My door is open to answers however

Authorized repair center in the UK is Anovo. Please follow the link below and follow the instructions to book a repair. It is very important to follow this step to avoid delays:

Once you have a repair reference number, please take note of it and proceed to send the device for repair. The address for our repair centre for our UK based customers is:
