Hi Moto Team,

Just bought Moto G5s Plus and I'm facing of GPS not detected every time I turn ON my STRAVA for cycling.

And it's really feel dissatisfied because it working fine on my Samsung A8 and iPhone 5.

Please give any solution for this matter.

Hi Hisham41,

We can only imagine why this made you dissatisfied. So, I tried downloading the app on our phone and it did not have any issue. Can you please test your phone under Device Help app? Please make sure that GPS/Location is set to High Accuracy.

GPS issue (not connecting and loosing connection frequently)

2018-03-15, 22:13 PM

I'm facing problems to connect GPS, even high precision, I tried to turn on and off and use an app to lock GPS signal. It doesn't connect or keeps losing connection while using Google maps navigation or Waze. How can I fix it?

Sorry to hear about that, from when are you experiencing this issues? Have you tried performing clear data/cache and force stop on both (Maps app) and reboot your device. Please observe and let us know how it goes? Hope this helps.

Thanks,

-Swaraj

Didn't work either. I had to send to technical support, the software was updated, now it seems its working. Thank you for the reply.

I am expeniencing the same issue.  I have factory reset the phone already.  Location is set to ON/High accuracy.  Use the Device Help app -> Fix -> Hardware Tests -> GPS, sometime the GPS would work, sometime it failed.  I used Google Maps, and sometime would take 15 minutes before the GPS would start working and start navigation.

CarolCamargo talked about his phone software was updated.  When I chat with the support, support would like me to RMA the device.  What software did Motorola push to his phone to fixed this issue?

The GPS worked well for only 2 days, I continue with the same problem. Exactly how you described, i used the Device Help to check hardware and usually it fails. I have returned the phone to the technical assistance today. Updating the software didn't work or even reset to factory configuration.

CarolCamargo, thank you very much for the quick reply. Would you please let me/us
know after you've received your RMA. I want to make sure your "new RMA" phone works before I send it in. Thank you very much.
