Connected to WIFI, but No internet

2020-01-28, 9:24 AM

Have recently changed to new ISP, plugged in New Router and all devices (Alexa, Laptop, work Mobile connected) and working. Except my Moto G6 i get connection but no internet.

Have tried the following to date.

Static IP using Google dns 8.8.8.8

Forget connection and reconnect

network rating provider changed to None

reset default networks

Turning Google location off

System/reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

Safe mode operation

All above has not worked, still no internet when connected.

i dont want to have to go to factory default but is that all is left to me?

Do the Network Reset again. Then press and hold the Power button long enough for the phone to restart,. This emulates taking the battery out. If you have to find your Network APN settings and manaully enter them and make sure they are saved as sometimes they get edited but not saved.

HTH :)

Hi cpk2,

Thanks for trying, we would like to investigate this. Please share a Bug Report with WiFi Verbose enabled. Kindly provide the WiFi Router Make, Model, and security used. Also, please update your device IMEI on your profile, make sure that your Motorola Privacy is enabled. If you need a reference in updating your profile, please click this link - https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Forum-Feedback/Complete-your-forums-profile/td-p/3339943

Here are the steps for the Bug Report:

1. Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Tap on Build number 7 times on the build number to go into the developer options mode]

2. After the above steps, Developer options will be enabled.

3. Go to Settings ->Developer options -> Enable USB debugging > Toggle On

4. Enable Settings -> Developer options -> Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On

5. Enable Settings -> Developer options -> Enable Wi-Fi Verbose Logging > Toggle On

6. Once the issue is reproduced, Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power-down menu.

7. Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.

8. Then upload the Bug Report to your personal Google Drive and then share the link to the Bug Report on the forums in a reply or via a private message.

9. Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the time that you observed the behavior in local time.

Regards,

Suman
