Having the same issue. Can someone please post troubleshooting steps it solution? Put call on speakerphone and Lay the phone on table and it mutes. Have to pick up phone and press unmute to get it back. This is big problem. If it’s a bug please fix it. If it’s a broken phone please say so and I’ll send it for repair. There are a lot of people on here with the same issue. Stop ignoring us and do something!

@John561

@Timpsheehan213

This is definitely not common with our phones. We will do whatever we can to help troubleshoot. First, can you ensure that your forum profiles are updated with the current IMEI or SN from your devices? Then once you've done that, can you please create a bug report as soon as you duplicate the calls being muted? I want to get that over to some engineers to be analyzed. Steps below.

1. Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Tap on Build number 7 times on the build number to go into the developer options mode
2. After the above steps Developer options will be enabled.
3. Go to Settings ->Developer options -> Enable USB debugging > Toggle On
4. Enable Settings -> Developer options -> Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On
5. Once the issue is reproduced, Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power-down menu.
6. Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.
7. Then upload the Bug Report to your personal Google Drive and then share the link to the bug report on the forums in a reply.
8. Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the time that you observed the behavior in local time.

My wife is having this same problem with her Moto Z4. Seems to happen mostly when she sets the phone down. Still haven't seen much tech support aside from clearing cache. Any options here for a fix?
