G6 powered itself off. When powered back no wifi connection

2019-12-30, 21:04 PM

Hi Everybody

I have used my G6 constantly for six months

Today it powered itself off.  When I powered back on it could see all  of my wifi networks SSIDs but when I try to conect it asks me for the password. When password is entered nothing happens  - no error - no connection

I have reset the comms and ran two virus checkers and a malware check.   Software looks clean and Bluetooth working OK. All other devices in house working fine

Android Version 9

any ideas        Thanks, Mike

Hi again

Update

Talked to Motorola Support, very friendly and helpful guy.

After some while we agreed that a factory reset would have to happen were I to return the phone so might as well try it now

After checking that everything was backed up and taking SD card out........   performed factory reset

As soon as phone had finished resetting it asked for password for wifi which it accepted

Restored entire phone from Google Drive

Everything now OK, If it happens again I wil reset and restore apps one at a time

Mike
