Hi.

If you want help, please update your profile with current phone, carrier and serial number -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems.

Hi

I recently bought a Moto g6. The battery stood at 63 % when I recieved it. I charged it for an hour and the battery has been constantly showing at 96% since that charge. I switched it off and charged it once again in the morning next day but the battery still shows 96%. Please look into the issue and let me know what can be done about that.

Hi DrMudgil,

Thank you for writing us, we're hoping this does not persist for you. Since you just activated, we suspect the phone needs to be calibrated. Press and hold the power button until the screen turns off. The phone will reboot then on its own. We call this a hard reset; it's equivalent to pulling the battery in days of removable batteries. Charge the phone to 100% and then leave it on the charger for a few hours.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further questions?

Regards,

Swaraj

Hi Swaraj,
Thank you for your prompt response.
However, I already tried this out. But the issue is still persisting.

Let me know if there is anything else that can be done.

Thanks!

Hi Dharmaraj24,

Thank you for updating your profile, as per your checking data, we do see that the network is poor which is impacts on your battery performance. Along with that, there is a "Telegram" app that looks to be crashing.

Here are few tips to improve battery performance. Hope this helps.

Swaraj

Hi DrMudgil,

Are you saying that you in spite of following the above steps you are unable to charge your device to 100%? How long have you allowed your device to be connected to the power source? Did you try to charge your device in safe mode or when your device is powered off? Share us your observation.

Please update your profile with IMEI number for us further investigate in regards to the same.

Regards,
Swaraj

Hello,

Do you use Dropbox on the phone ? Look if NativeDropBoxAgent is not consuming a lot of battery. In discovered that just this app was consuming 15% on my phone. I've disabled background sync of it and seems that battery life got another boost.

Hope it helps. Regards,

Fabricio

Hello Swaraj,
I'll take care of Telegram!
But network isn't that bad always right? Also on other phones network is worse. Still their battery is good....

There is something that makes battery drain! And that is not something installed by me.. I didn't even installed much for 1-2 days but then thought this should be fixed .....
One question? Do you Forum managers contact development team and ask them to solve. If yes, are they working on any OTA update that will fix this?

We do work with development teams, very closely. If there are confirmed, reproducible issues we do our best to drive solutions.

In your case we're still troubleshooting and investigating.
