Moto G6 Play battery problem

2018-09-14, 17:51 PM

Hello,

first of all, please forgive me any possible language mistakes; english is not my first language. Now, to the point:

I bought Moto g6 play first and foremost because of enormous battery capacity. Everything ran smoothly for a first few weeks.

Now battery, after a full charge, can last no more than 1 day. I thought it was because of Nova launcher but things don't look much better on a native moto launcher app. Should I file a complaint/ ask for a replacement in the shop I bought it ? One more thing: I recalibrated the battery but nothing changed. Please Help !

If you have the receipt, you should go back to the store, and try to ask for a replacement phone. That is highly odd to me. I bought that phone for my father, and he's had no such issues with battery life.

He can run his phone up to two days on a charge. To be fair, my father doesn't run any games on the phone. He's a facebook and news addict. :)

Also, you may want to check Settings, then Battery. Scroll down, and check to see which apps are consuming the most battery power.

In addition, try opening the Moto app, and look at power for hours. Click on it, and then click on the check mark on the upper right side. Under Do not show, check all of the apps that appear on the list. Remove them. Doing this should allow Android 8's Doze function to work more quickly, once the screen is turned off, and the phone is on standby.

Thank you for your suggestions. I uninstalled Blokada app and reinstalled Nova launcher once again; everything seems ok for now
