Moto G6 Play, notification spoound when connected to Bluetooth

2020-02-11, 12:31 PM

When I'm connected to my Bluetooth speaker, the notification sounds are coming from the speaker, not the phone. When the phone rings though, it's coming from the phone. I have the Phone Calls profile disabled on BT and have only Media profile. Any way to fix this?

Thanks.

Hi pwalk,

Thanks for posting! May I know when did this start and which Headphone model are you using? Have you tested with other earphones/headphones/Bluetooth headsets? Is it the same? Kindly let me know.

Regards,

Suman

Only noticed it recently and it's happening with my Bluetooth receiver like this one:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Bluetooth-4-0-A2DP-Receiver-Smartphones-Receptor-4-0/dp/B019T4TT7W

It doesn't seem to happen with my headphones.

I think it's probably to do with the poor quality of the receiver, not implementing BT correctly or something?

Hi pwalk,

Thanks for confirming! It could be, can you check with another Bluetooth headset if one is available and see if it's the same?

After doing some more research, it appears to be a wider issue with Android:smileysad:

Hi pwalk,

Have you checked with another Bluetooth headset as suggested? Kindly confirm.
