Moto G6 Restarts and No SIM Card Error

Moto G6 has been frequently restarting and occasionally showing No SIM Card.  This is a replacement device (replaced July 2019).  Factory reset device and continues to restart.

If the SD card is formatted as Portable can you take it out and test it on a PC/Computer?

Hi MillForce2k,

 

Thanks for posting! I would suggest you perform a Battery calibration--

 

To perform a battery calibration:

  1. Force reboot the device by holding the power button until the device reboots
     
  2. Plug into supplied charger
     
  3. Charge to 100% and leave on the charger for at least an additional hour after getting to 100%

Hi Suman,

 

Thank you for your help.  Unfortunately, the battery calibration didn't work.  Also tried booting in safe mode without success.

Thanks for trying, please re-install your software through LMSA. Performing a Rescue option with reset your device, but it should not be required. However, I would still suggest to take a back up of your contact and data just in case. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Suman,

 

No luck.  Still getting frequent restarts after the LMSA Rescue.  No one specific app is causing it.  Apps were reinstalled from the Play Store and game data restored from Google Game Services.

Thanks for trying and sorry for the inconvenience caused. My best advice in this situation is that you submit your device for a review/repair as you have even re-installed the Software. Our engineers will assist you further.

Hi Suman, I'll give that a try, but I'll have to call in since the system still thinks I haven't received my replacement device from last July/August.
